This release is a maintenance update, fixing a bug on Windows with the handling of daylight savings time and correcting some problems with registering on Mac OS X. Today we released Troi Activator Plug-in 3.5.2, our plug-in for triggering scripts remotely from an other computer. This release is compatible and tested with FileMaker Pro 13. In this version we also added support for 64-bit architecture on Windows. On Windows there are now 2 plug-ins: Troi_Activator.fmx (for 32-bit) and Troi_Activator.fmx64 (for 64-bit). April 4th, 2012: FileMaker Inc. released FileMaker Pro 12 today. This is a great release, with lots of new features. One of those features is a simplified way to update plug-ins, enabling easy distribution in the FileMaker file itself! QuickTrans is an iOS application designed to make sending images a snap: you can take one or more photos and upload them without any extra steps. It can also add (GPS) location data and your own text to the image.
This makes it ideal for people who repeatedly need to upload images to the company network, for example a real estate agent, who takes photos while inspecting a house.

January 11th, 2010: Recently Microsoft released Windows 7. We have finished testing our plug-ins with Windows 7 and we have not found any compatibility issues!
We have created a Windows 7 page with more details. We are continuing our tests and if we find any issues we will provide more detailed information.
Also note that FileMaker Inc. created a web page about Windows 7 and FileMaker products. They note that FileMaker Pro 10 has no issues.

November 16th, 2009: Today we released the final Windows version of Troi Grabber Plug-in, our plug-in for capturing images and movies from video devices. We also updated the Mac OS X version with some bug fixes and improvements.
Troi Grabber Plug-in is a Universal plug-in which runs natively on PowerPC and Intel Macs and now also on Window XP, Vista and Windows 7. It is compatible with FileMaker Pro 9 and 10.

September 30th, 2009: We added the function references for all FileMaker Pro 7+ Native Troi Plug-ins to the FMP Ref iPhone/iPod Touch App. FMP Ref is a quick reference for Calculation Functions, Script Steps, Plug-ins and more, made by CNS. FMP Ref is available via the iTunes App Store. More information can be found in our newsroom.

September 1st, 2009 Apple released Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. We have finished testing our plug-ins with Snow Leopard and we have not found any compatibility issues!
We have created a Snow Leopard page with more details. We are continuing our tests and will report back when we have more information.
Also note that FileMaker Inc. created a web page about Mac OS X v10.6 and FileMaker products. They note that FileMaker Pro 10 has some issues.

October 6th, 2009: Today we released a new version of Troi Grabber Plug-in, our plug-in for capturing images and movies from video devices. Also new is the Windows (beta) version, which uses TWAIN technology to enable grabbing.
Other improvements are the possibility to set the compression factor of the saved image and to set the size and the position of the grabber window on the screen. Troi Dialog Plug-in 5.1 is a maintenance release and fixes a few bugs. It also adds a new Dial_VersionAutoUpdate function. The Dial_VersionAutoUpdate function is part of an emerging standard for FileMaker plug-ins of third party vendors of plug-ins. The version number is returned in the format aabbccdd where every letter represents a digit of the level, so versions can be easily compared.

We have released a new version of Troi Activator Plug-in, our plug-in for triggering scripts, from a calculation or even remotely from an other computer.
Troi Activator Plug-in 2.7 runs with FileMaker Pro 9, is compatible with Windows Vista and is a Universal Mac OS X plug-in.
The 2.7 release adds new switches to get a list of all the future and triggered events that the plug-in knows about. We also added a new standardized Version function specifically for the AutoUpdate functionality of FileMaker Server.

February 8th, 2008: Peter Baanen, software developer of the Troi Plug-ins spoke about FileMaker plug-ins at FM Summit, the FileMaker developer conference for the Dutch speaking languages. It was held in Antwerp, Belgium, from 11 to 13 April 2008.

October 26th, 2007: Today Apple released version 10.5 of the Mac OS X operating system. We are testing our plug-ins with this release. At the moment we have not found any big issues. We are continuing to test and will report back when we have finished our testing.
Note that FileMaker Inc. created a web page about Mac OS X Leopard and FileMaker products. They note that FileMaker Pro 9 has some issues, especially with non-US languages.
Considering this we suggest you proceed with caution, especially if you are deploying production databases (and plug-ins) on Leopard.

We have released a new version of Troi Activator Plug-in, our plug-in for triggering scripts, from a calculation or even remotely from an other computer.
Troi Activator Plug-in 2.6 runs with FileMaker Pro 9, is compatible with Windows Vista and is a Universal Mac OS X plug-in.
The 2.6 release adds a RunScript function specially tailored for triggering directly in a FileMaker calculation. We also added a tooltip example and fixed some bugs.

July 10th, 2007: FileMaker Inc. released FileMaker Pro 9. This is a great release, with lots of new features. We especially like the fact that you can now organize scripts into folders.

The text of the dialog and of the buttons can be created dynamically by using a calculation. This version 3.1 of Troi Dialog Plug-in fixes a hard to find bug in the Flash Dialog function. (November 6th, 2001) Troi ASCII Plug-in adds the external function "Asci-LowSafe" to FileMaker Pro 5.5. This function converts higher ASCII characters to lower ASCII characters, while trying to retain as much information as possible. (October 30th, 2001) Troi Serial Plug-in gives FileMaker Pro 5.5 easy and powerful access to one or more of the computer's serial ports. We have tested the plug-in with FileMaker Pro 5.5 and ported it to Mac OS X. We also added the possibility to trigger different scripts for different ports and added support for runtimes (including kiosk mode) created with FileMaker Developer 5 and FileMaker Developer 5.5 for Windows. The text of the dialog and of the buttons can be created dynamically by using a calculation. In this version we've greatly enhanced flexibility and control of the dialog boxes. The new input dialog can now have up to five input fields being either text, password, popup or checkbox in any combination. Other new features include setting the labels and pre-entered text of the input dialog, specifying the field in which an input dialog will start and positioning the dialog boxes anywhere on the screen. (July 17th, 2001) The Troi Activator Plug-in
is a very powerful tool for triggering scripts remotely. We
have tested it with FileMaker Pro 5.5 and it also runs on
Mac OS X. We also added support for FileMaker Developer 5
runtimes on Windows. We even went back in (version) time by
adding support for FileMaker Pro 4 and Developer Edition 4
on the Windows platform. Together with the existing support
for Mac OS runtimes you can now trigger scripts between any

(May 15th, 2001) The first plug-in to run with FileMaker 5.5 on Mac OS X! This plug-in offers the great XML parsing and more! XML (Extensible Markup Language) offers a very easy way to exchange data. FileMaker 5 can easily publish XML, but until now getting XML data back into FileMaker was not possible. Now the final version of the Troi Text Plug-in 2.0.1 can help you parse text formatted in XML.
